We will be shifting our prescription drug administrator from CVS Caremark to Express Scripts, Inc. (ESI). Employees will have a robust formulary of covered brand and generic drugs and access to over 56,000 network pharmacies for both short- and long-term prescription needs. With ESI, you will have an expanded access to pharmacies for eligible 90-day prescriptions, making it easier to choose the pharmacy that works best for you. 

A small number of employees will find that a current medication is no longer covered. To ensure continuity of care, all current prior authorizations will be honored and excluded medications will continue to be covered through March 31, giving employees time to work with their provider and pharmacy on exceptions or therapeutic alternatives.

Transition Details

  • You will receive a new prescription drug ID card in December.

  • Most employees can continue using their current pharmacy and receive in network benefits.

  • You will have access to a broad network of participating pharmacies to fill eligible long-term medications.

  • PillPack by Amazon Pharmacy will be an in-network pharmacy1.

  • If you continue using your current pharmacy, you should not need a new prescription from your doctor.

  • Specialty medications will be covered by ESI’s specialty pharmacy, Accredo.

As part of our transition to ESI, we are preparing a new online member portal where you will be able to access your ID card, find a preferred pharmacy, refill your prescriptions and more. The full member experience will be available beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

In the meantime, you may review the medication lists below to determine whether specific medications are covered under the ESI formulary.

Please note that if a medication is listed as excluded, you may still be eligible to request a medical necessity exception for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

Until Jan. 1, 2027, ESI will not have access to member-specific eligibility information and will be unable to process account-specific requests.

Beginning Oct. 16, you may contact the dedicated ConocoPhillips ESI Member Services team with general questions about prescription drug coverage and download the ESI mobile app using the QR code below.

Members may create an online account after receiving their ESI ID card in December. All Member Services, website, and mobile app features will be fully available beginning Jan. 1, 2027.
